This painting is the entrance gate to the Synagogue. This painting has a special meaning because it reminds us thankfully, that the Mikvé Israel-Emanuel congregation opened their door for our organization to be able to exhibit the Plein Air Curaçao paintings in the Gallery and now also in the museum by allowing us to use its beautiful space.
Shinhuey Ho’s (Taiwan) work hangs in corporate and private collections in the U.S., Trinidad & Tobago, Germany, Australia, Scotland and Taiwan. She is known for her striking portrait paintings, including a commissioned portrait of the former Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago, Kamla Persad-Bissessar. Shinhuey also enjoys painting outdoors on location. Shinhuey’s current work is inspired by her life in the sunny Caribbean islands of Trinidad & Tobago. In addition to painting the land and sea under the brilliant tropical sun, she also loves to capture the country’s beautiful people from diverse ethnic and cultural heritage.
Shinhuey was born and raised in Taiwan. She holds an MBA degree from Purdue University in Indiana, USA. Having lived in the U.S. for nine years and now residing in Trinidad, she considers herself a citizen of the world.
