'The Temple' 20 x 33 cm oil on canvas by Marianne Feydherbe Hagendoorn.

The former ‘Temple Emanu-él’ situated at the entrance of Punda, the city center of Curaçao now houses the office of the Public Prosecutor. This painting of the pinnacle of the temple won the ‘First Prize Local Artist’ at the first festival in 2011. 

 

Marianne was born and raised in Aruba. She started painting at a very young age with her uncle. She stopped painting radically as a teenager and young adult and started again at the age of 47. She had several classes on the island and abroad. Her main medium is oil.
